Gibson Maintains Industry Leading Safety Performance

January 12, 2023

As of 2022, our employee safety performance leads Canadian midstream oil & gas peers and places us solidly in the top quartile compared to our U.S. midstream peers.

Gibson Energy finished 2022 with two employee recordable injuries (equates to an estimated TRIF of ~ 0.46), one contractor recordable injury and zero lost time injuries for the year. Thankfully, the three recordable injuries that occurred in 2022 were all low in severity, meaning they were closer to first aids than lost time injuries. With this result, Gibson has once again met our ESG safety goal of being a top quartile safety performer in our sector for the second consecutive year.
