Recently, we reached a significant milestone in the expansion of the firewater infrastructure at the Hardisty Terminal with the successful test of the new system. This upgraded system resolves previous limitations in our fire suppression process, which could take up to four hours to activate. Now, with permanent onsite firewater drawn directly from the terminal’s pond, the system is primed for faster response times, ensuring enhanced protection for our tanks and greater safety across the terminal. The video captures the successful test—an exciting and rewarding moment for everyone who has contributed to this vital project over the years!
Shout out to the teams involved, including Project Execution, Project Controls, Supply Chain Management Team, the Hardisty Construction Management Team, the Commissioning and Start-up Team and Operations.
